• Red Cards and Serious Incidents in USSF Games
  
  For USSF games, red cards and other serious incidents should be reported. Contact the assignor if you have any questions on the report or who needs a copy. The USSF game report form is posted on the Forms page.
  
  
• A common question from new referees is how do we get paid for credit leagues?


After the season, the leagues are billed. Once the payment is received by our organization from all of the leagues, checks are distributed via mail by the Treasurer.


• Can we use a two-whistle system in USSF sanctioned matches if a referee is missing?


Under no circumstance should a dual whistle system be used in a USSF game! One is the referee and the other is an assistant referee. A club linesman may be recruited.


• Complete and Proper Uniform for USSF sanctioned matches.


All referees working USSF sanctioned matches must follow the USSF uniform guidelines.  Visit U.S. Soccer's website for more information.

In the event of an incomplete uniform:
a) Go home and get your complete and proper uniform, or
b) Since a club Assistant Referee (AR) need not have a complete uniform, then a referee not in uniform may work, but for the same pay as a club AR (i.e., "nothing").

Freedom Soccer Clubs Games

Some leagues such as CMSSL are slow to get rainout information posted. For Freedom Soccer Club hosted home games, their website (www.freedomsoccerclub.org) has field closures listed in real time. The listing is by field, not by league. So a good cross-reference for Freedom hosted WAGSL, NCSL, BBSL, CMSSL, and FCYSL games at Freedom Park, Oklahoma Road MS, Sykesville MS, Old Liberty Park, and Piney Run ES is the FSC's webpage.

- Referees should report the game information online from the blue match report and then mail the blue match report to the league.
- For U9 and U10 matches, the NCSL allows USYS carded players to guest play on any U9 and U10 team within their club. While guest players must have their USYS player pass at the match and their name must be added to the game day roster. These guest players will obviously not be listed on the Official State Roster.

- All forms will now be on line. Game Report Cards will not be completed at the field on game day. Referees will now be required to enter the information on line.
- WAGS will begin requiring U-12 assigned referees to obtain and report STARS who assist them.  WAGS will also be requiring the referees to enter the STAR information. This information will be provided by the teams at the field. This process will permit us to confirm the STAR's for team payment.
- Club Pass System – Carded players on U-9 through U-12 teams are permitted to guest play or any U-9 through U-12 teams within their club for which they are aged qualified. The main objective of the club pass system is to allow coaches to move players freely within their own club based on specific team needs and in the interest of player development. Players using club passes are considered guest players and can only play for one WAGS team per day. During Spring Season Play, an age appropriate U-12 player cannot play for another U-12 team in the same division or a U-12 team in a lower division.
